All appointments begin with a thorough examination, in which appropriate radiographs are taken and clinical tests are performed, in order to determine the proper diagnosis and treatment plan. The extent of treatment on your first appointment depends on the extent of the problem, the amount of discomfort and the health of the patient. In most instances, treatment can begin on the same day as the examination. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan may require an initial evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
Most procedures can be completed in one treatment visit, depending on the extent of the infection. However, treatment will be separated into two visits if the infection is severe or the endodontic treatment plan mandates it.
